For the US Open, NYPD closes the gate approaches to for-hire traffic — no car can pull up at the East Gate by the 7 train. US Open 2026: Fan Week and qualifying from late August, with the main draw August 30 – September 13 — quarterfinals September 8–9, semifinals September 10–11, the women's final September 12 and the men's final September 13. Each day splits into two separately ticketed sessions: day (gates 9:30am, play from 11am) and night (entry from 6pm, play from 7pm, frequently running to 11pm–1am).
